Oh yes, its fitting to wait until the day after the Super Bowl to publish this month’s Bid of the Month. The PAC-10′s Washington State University are building a new football home.
With public construction keeping a healthy pace, there are many projects up for the award. But if you understand my penchant for sports, you know that this is a hole in one.
WSU’s Board of Regents approved initial plans to design significant upgrades to the school’s current football stadium, Martin Stadium. The plans include premium seating, a new press box and a large football training facility. Initial estimates put the construction costs at roughly $70 Million.
Right now this project is merely in design stage. The school is seeking bids from architectural and design firms. You may access the WSU Capitol Projects page by following this link, if you are interested. I expect to see construction bidding begin by the end of the year.
Stay tuned for more details. You may consider following the Capitol Projects page, or the new Martin Stadium page for more information.
