For this months, Solicitation of the Month, we venture down to Seattle’s sacred Pike Place Market. The Market is going through a dramatic $69 Million renovation, and your construction company could be part of the renewal.
Pike Place Market is now seeking subbids for work on the third phase of its renovation. You can read more about the third phase of this construction project, by following this link to the Dodge Report.
The project has its own website, which provides the following about Phase III:
Phase III of the renovation, including major changes to the Economy Market Building, construction of new public restrooms at the north end of the Market in the Soames building, and recladding of the Stewart House brick façade, is expected to begin after Labor Day. The Market Historical Commission has completed review of the major construction and design items for this work. The PDA will be seeking bids during the next few months. Several meetings will be held later this spring to explain the schedule and extent of work and impacts on Market tenants and customers.
Bids are due by 1 p.m. on March 11 to Jonelle Tuffs at Turner Construction, at 830 Fourth Ave. S., Suite 400, in Seattle. Best of luck to all bidders.
