Back in December 2010, thousands mourned the closing of the Rainier Beach Community Center. The Center’s pool had become a favorite activity locale for many kids in the vast neighborhood. But, not to fret because the Center is coming back, bigger and better than before. Lets take a look at this month’s featured project.

According to the Daily Journal of Commerce, work will begin in late August on the new Center. The new complex will be located at 8825 Rainier Ave. S. in Seattle and aims to meet LEED Gold Certification.
